2018-19 Pistachio Crop Prediction

April 28, 2018adminBlogNo comments

It`s going to be a bad year for #IranianPistachio. #Pistachios are about to become a whole lot less available.
This year`s crop might be down as much as “70%”. In 2017-2018 , the quantity of #pistachio`s crop were high but low in quality. The year that follows these conditions will continue to a low quantity crop with the high quality for the next season (2018-2019).
But unfortunately the storms and cold weather in April has affected on these low quality as well. Unusually cold weather during the flowering in April dealt a blow to the crop, which reports say is down by as much as 70 % from last season record.
In effect of this recent loss, #IranianPistachio price has increased a lot and is still on an upward trend. We believe in the coming season prices will be really high and there will no reduction in prices since the farmers have to cover their costs, they will not accpet 2017-2018 opening prices of the season.
